Athens-Clarke police arrested 10 people on underage drinking charges Friday night, many of them with fake IDs. Six of the 10 were University of Georgia students, according to police reports and book-in records of the Clarke County Jail.
Also, police conducted a sobriety checkpoint on the ramp from the inner loop of the Athens Perimeter to College Station Road from 1:30 to 2:50 a.m. Of the 27 cars stopped, three drivers were evaluated and one was arrested and charged with DUI, according to a police report.
